Online courses from Alastair Greener
Alastair Greener is planning a set of short online courses on communicating across the generations, drawn from his book, his podcast and his UK research. Each course has its own waiting list. Join the list for the one that suits you and you will hear first when it opens. The size of each list will also help decide which course is made first.
The courses
Framed, not defined
An audio course on Alastair's five principles for talking with people older or younger than you, at work and at home. One principle a week for five weeks.
Read more »The generational advantage
A video course for line managers that turns the ten workplace strategies in Alastair's book into everyday habits, with a template for each module.
Read more »Start strong
Short audio episodes for young people in their first year at work, and for the employers, colleges and universities that support them.
Read more »21 conversations
One small conversation a day for three weeks, in daily episodes of three to four minutes. Made for teams who want a keynote to stick.

Every course is planned for teams as well as for individuals. If you are joining a list on behalf of a team, tick My team or organisation on the form and say roughly how many people it is for.
If you want Alastair in the room sooner, see keynote speaking and consultancy and workshops.
Where the courses come from
Each course draws on Alastair's book, Generationally Speaking: How to bridge the generation gap and communicate with confidence (Right Book Press, 2025), which was a Business Book Awards 2026 finalist. They also draw on his podcast, which has published more than 40 episodes since January 2025 with guests aged from 15 to 90.
The evidence comes from two UK studies owned by his company, Present Yourself Ltd: Communication Habits and Preferences 2024, a survey of 4,067 people, and the Generations in the Workplace Study 2023, which asked more than 100 HR managers in Britain about the generations at work.

They follow the book's ideas and spend their time on practice: short episodes, exercises and templates, with stories from the podcast.
