Online course
21 conversations: one small conversation a day for three weeks
A talk can change how a room thinks for an afternoon. Changing habits takes longer, so this course sends one short audio episode a day for three weeks, each ending with one small thing to do, such as a question to ask a colleague or a call to make to a grandparent.
How it works
- One audio episode a day for 21 days, each three to four minutes long, on a private podcast feed.
- Every episode ends with one action, small enough to do that day.
- Days 7, 14 and 21 look back at what has changed.
The actions come from Alastair's research and his podcast. One day might ask you to post a birthday card to someone in their eighties: in the 2024 survey, 68% of Baby Boomers and 79% of the Silent Generation send postal birthday cards, against 13% of Gen Z.
Who it is for
Teams who have heard Alastair speak and want the ideas to last, with places bought by the organiser for everyone who was in the room. It also suits anyone who would like a daily nudge to talk to people outside their own generation, and makes a gift for someone who would.
Built from
Each day takes a moment from the Generationally Speaking podcast or a finding from Communication Habits and Preferences 2024, a UK survey of 4,067 people, and turns it into one thing to try.
